It's nice for the episode to show how Hongo and Uchida bond with each other outside of their mentor-mentee relationship and more into comrade-in-arms. Megumi is shown in this episode with her own personal problem, but it's something I personally have a hard time getting invested because of how far removed from Uchida and the main plot.
