📖 SYNOPSIS
Set three decades after the original series, "Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King" depicts a world where the ability to see and interact with Youkai is a forgotten legend. The original Youkai Watch, once wielded by Keita Amano, was lost to prevent imbalance. However, a devastating epidemic, the Onimaro virus, now plagues the city, turning those with malevolent intentions into Kaodeka Oni, causing widespread chaos.
With the world on the brink of destruction, a new Youkai Watch appears, and only those chosen by it can stand against the encroaching threat. The series explores themes of legacy, the enduring power of friendship, and the importance of maintaining harmony between the human and Youkai realms. The fate of both worlds rests on the shoulders of these new heroes.
