Night Shift Nurses Specials
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Buried in Ryuji Hirasaka's past is a scandal — the kind that ends careers. After a decade away from medicine, he gets a second chance at St. Juliana Hospital, one of those prestigious institutions where power and reputation matter more than almost anything else. The person bringing him back is Narumi Jinguji, the hospital director and his former lover, who has a very specific job for him: train a handpicked group of nurses for an exclusive VIP ward catering to politicians and businessmen who expect discretion above all else. What unfolds is a dark, psychologically charged story about control, manipulation, and what people are willing to do when authority goes unchecked. The power dynamics here are deliberate and unsettling — this isn't light viewing. Now, these two episodes are actually recap specials, covering the events of the original Yakin Byoutou OVA as episodes 5.5 and 10.5, so think of them as a condensed way to revisit or catch up on the story rather than new content. If you've already watched the main series, they work as a refresher. If you liked the psychological tension in something like Bible Black or the institutional corruption angle in Night Shift Nurses: Kranke, this occupies similar territory. It's a dark, adult story adapted from a visual novel, and it leans fully into that tone without apologizing for it.
