Xing Men
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Deep within an ancient galaxy, there's a red door. Not just any door — the Door of Constellation, a mythical gateway that supposedly keeps the balance between darkness and light from tipping one way or the other. Countless legends surround it, and now a group of characters find themselves pulled into its orbit, each connected to the door's mysteries in ways they don't fully understand yet. Xing Men is a Chinese ONA from studio Qiyuan Yinghua, adapted from a web novel, and it leans hard into that cosmic mythology space where ancient forces and sprawling lore collide. The early episodes set up a world where the door isn't just a symbol — it's an active force shaping events, and the people drawn to it have to navigate layered conspiracies and supernatural threats just to survive. The tone sits in this sweet spot between genuine mystery and kinetic action, where you're piecing things together alongside the characters rather than being handed answers. If you've been into Xi Xing Ji or Wu Shan Wu Xing and want another Chinese fantasy series with dense worldbuilding, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Thunderbolt Fantasy's blend of mythic storytelling and high-stakes action will also find a lot to like here. The balance-of-light-and-darkness framing could easily feel generic, but the artifact-centered narrative gives it a concrete anchor that keeps things grounded in actual mystery rather than vague prophecy talk. Worth picking up if you're in the mood for something atmospheric and layered.
