We're finally here: The grand finale of the X anime. I'd heard it wasn't satisfying for fans, and I can really see why. All the dragons are out of commission except for Fuuma and Kamui. We have a sealed fate and an inevitable confrontation. The fight visuals are, as always, excellent, though you do wonder why there aren't people screaming in despair with all the chaos they're causing in the city. The floating heads cheering on the protagonist are a real clunky trope and feel completely out of place. When you watch the episode, you think, "Wow, there really is no hope," and because of that, the resolution of this whole conflict feels very... Was that the solution? Just like that? So yeah... it's not a satisfying ending, but it's an ending. That's definitely a plus compared to the manga.
