Women at Work

After getting dumped for looking weak, he naturally decides to fix that by taking a construction job. The plan makes sense on paper. What Akiyoshi did not account for is that the entire site is staffed almost entirely by women, and his first day involves an entrance examination that has absolutely nothing to do with lifting heavy objects. That sets the tone for the 2-episode OVA pretty clearly. Each woman at the site has her own personality and her own reasons for taking an interest in the new guy, and the series leans into the comedy of that premise as much as it leans into the adult content. Akiyoshi himself is genuinely trying to better himself, which gives the story a small but functional character thread to hang everything on. It is lightweight, a little goofy, and does not take itself seriously for a second. If you have watched Resort Boin or Futari Ecchi and appreciated how those series use a grounded everyday setting as the backdrop for adult scenarios, this lands in similar territory. The humor is not forced either — the workplace premise generates its own absurdity without the writing having to reach for it. At two episodes it does not overstay its welcome. Think of it as a short, breezy adult comedy with a cast that is more distinct than you might expect from something this brief.
