Waisetsu Missile The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Shouta is a high school kid whose body literally fires missiles when he gets flustered or excited — not a metaphor, actual projectiles, launched from his person, triggered by embarrassment. His childhood friend Riko knows about his condition, which makes their daily school life a constant exercise in damage control — and collateral damage. This is a one-episode OVA from 2013 based on Taropun's manga, and it leans fully into the absurdity of its premise. The humor comes from watching Shouta's uncontrollable power turn mundane school situations into increasingly chaotic disasters. Think less romantic tension, more physical comedy built around one very specific, very ridiculous superpower. The animation from Office TakeOut commits to the gag — the exaggerated reactions and over-the-top scenarios are clearly the point, and the short runtime keeps things moving without overstaying its welcome. It is what it is: a single-serving comedy built around one joke stretched as far as it can go. If you've watched Zecchou Rocket or Yokujou Bazooka: THE ANIMATION and appreciated that specific flavor of high school comedy where the central premise is anatomically absurd, this fits right in that corner of the genre. It is not trying to be anything else, and that honesty is part of its appeal. Go in knowing exactly what kind of show this is, and you'll get exactly what you came for.
