VSPO!

Synopsis
At a live concert in a near-future world, three completely different girls cross paths and end up chasing the same dream — going pro in an era where virtual reality esports have basically replaced traditional sports. Akari, Yuki, and Nozomi enroll in a prestigious academy after being inspired by Reika, an idol-level figure in the competitive scene, and get thrown into the elite 'S class' together. From there it's the grind: building team chemistry from scratch, figuring out each other's strengths, and trying not to wash out before they even get started. The setup has a lot in common with shows like Love Live! School Idol Project or BanG Dream!, where a ragtag group bonds through shared ambition, except swap the stage performances for high-stakes esports matches. If you vibed with Chance Pop Session's "strangers linked by fate" energy, that thread is here too. What makes this one interesting beyond the premise is the dual release — one version voiced by the actual VSPO! VTubers, another by professional voice actors, so you can pick your flavor or compare both. Directed by Hiroki Hirano, who handled Mushoku Tensei Season 2, and animated by PINE JAM. The tone leans into hype tournament energy but grounds it in the friendships holding the team together. It's an original project, so nobody knows where the story goes, which honestly makes it more fun to jump into fresh.
