Vampire Vixen Special
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A note from a cute girl asking to meet in the PE storage room lands on Kanzaki's desk — he figures it's a confession. It is not. Mari Setagaya is a half-vampire who can't stomach the taste of blood, and she's been eyeing him as a potential... alternative food source. What starts as a genuinely weird supernatural premise — girl needs to feed, guy is unexpectedly willing — turns into a short, breezy romantic comedy that leans more into charm than horror. Mari isn't menacing; she's awkward and a little desperate, which makes her oddly endearing. Kanzaki, for his part, is less freaked out than you'd expect, and their dynamic has a genuine back-and-forth that keeps things from feeling hollow. The supernatural hook gives it more personality than your average entry in the genre. The art is expressive and clean, and the character writing does more work than it needs to for a single-episode special. If you've watched something like Imouto Paradise or Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and wanted the setup to actually feel like it has a reason to exist beyond the obvious, this scratches that itch. It's a one-episode special from 2014 adapted from a manga, so there's no long commitment here. Go in for the vampire gimmick, stay because Mari is genuinely a fun character for what it is.
