“Uzumaki Episode 1 is a masterclass in psychological horror, easily a 5/5. What struck me most was the slow, creeping sense of dread. It doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares; instead, it builds this heavy, uncomfortable tension from the very first minute. Seeing the townspeople slowly succumb to the obsession with spirals was deeply disturbing. The sound design and music only added to the paranoia. I couldn’t look away, even when things got graphic.”
