finally a Junji Ito adaptation that actually gets it. the black and white animation is stunning and Kirie and Shuichi's town already feels deeply wrong from the jump. Shuichi's dad's spiral obsession alone is nightmare fuel. pacing is a bit rushed but the dread is real 🌀
