📖 SYNOPSIS
"Urikupen Rescue Team," created by Mitsuru Kaneko, follows the adventures of a courageous animal rescue team. The core members are Seitaro Usagi (rabbit), Risu (squirrel), Kuma (bear), and Penguin (penguin), collectively known as U-Ri-Ku-Pen. They are joined by a dog, a boar, a deer, a koala, a mouse, a seagull, and a lion. Each week, the team undertakes a new mission to rescue those in need. Upon completing a mission, the team receives a prize. Viewers are also encouraged to participate by guessing which animal will be the hero of the week, with a prize awarded to those who correctly predict the outcome. The show was broadcast on select American local TV stations for the Japanese community.
