Until The Summer Ends The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Childhood friends turned lovers, Yui and Kou really, really cannot keep their hands off each other — including at school, which turns out to be a catastrophically bad idea. A teacher named Kuwahara gets hold of surveillance footage of them together and decides to use it as leverage. Yui is suddenly stuck between protecting her relationship with Kou and complying with a man who has all the power in this situation. What starts as blackmail gets messier and more psychologically uncomfortable as the two episodes unfold. Don't go in expecting a lighthearted romance — the show leans hard into coercion and the murky emotional territory that follows. BreakBottle's animation is clean and detailed, and the character expressions do a lot of work carrying the tension. It's not just set dressing; the visuals actually support the darker psychological undercurrent the story is going for. If you've watched something like Kuro no Kyoushitsu or Mesu Kyoushi: Injoku no Kyoushitsu and appreciated how those handled a similar teacher-student power dynamic, this covers comparable ground with a bit more focus on Yui's internal conflict rather than pure escalation. At only two episodes adapted from the manga, it's a tight watch that doesn't overstay its welcome. Just go in knowing the subject matter is heavy — manipulation and consent are front and center here, and the show doesn't really soften that.
