Synopsis
A quiet rural hometown pulls Ryouhei back unexpectedly — his father needs him to cover as a teacher due to staff shortages, and suddenly he's trading city life for countryside calm. He ends up staying at the Toyohira Inn, where he meets Karen, the inn's charming mascot, and yeah, she makes quite an impression. Watching all of this unfold is Nagisa, the sister of Ryouhei's ex-girlfriend and the one who made the introduction — and she's clearly not entirely comfortable with how things are developing. The setup is simple: a guy returning somewhere familiar, running into people who complicate things, and a quiet tension simmering underneath the rural nostalgia. PoRO's production keeps the visuals clean and the character designs expressive, which goes a long way when the story leans heavily on the interactions between these three. At just two episodes, it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you've watched something like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and appreciated the slower, character-focused buildup before things escalate, this hits a similar note. Fans of Oni Chichi who like their scenarios grounded in a recognizable slice-of-life setting before diving into mature content will find familiar ground here. It's a short, uncomplicated watch — countryside atmosphere, a clear triangle dynamic, and enough character warmth to make the setup feel like more than just a backdrop.
