Synopsis
Once a princess, now an outlaw, Sara Scorpion carves her way through a galactic empire that's already tearing itself apart. Former princess, current outlaw, she commands the Scorpion Legion and hunts for the legendary Sword of Bernstein, the one thing that could restore her claim to the Imperial Throne. The problem is, everyone who knows anything about that sword is tangled up in the same corrupt aristocracy that destroyed her family. This is a dark, gritty sci-fi OVA with a heavy supernatural undercurrent, and it does not shy away from how brutal that world is. The villains here, particularly the sadistic Gielen twins, feel genuinely threatening rather than cartoonish, and Sara's position is consistently precarious in ways that keep the tension real. At four episodes, it moves fast and commits fully to its tone. If you grew up watching Space Pirate Captain Harlock or Space Adventure Cobra and appreciated that brand of morally complicated space opera with a lone, hardened protagonist, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Mezzo Forte who want that same adult-oriented sci-fi action energy will also find familiar ground here. Worth noting upfront: this is a hentai OVA, so the mature content is explicit and woven into the story rather than incidental. If that's not your thing, this one isn't for you.
