Tsuma wo Dousoukai ni Ikasetara
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Against her husband's better judgment, Yuri — a married woman — decides to attend her high school reunion. Once there, she runs into Tatsuhiko — her ex — who's drinking too much and acting reckless. Being the caring person she is, she sticks around to make sure he's okay. That turns out to be a mistake, because Tatsuhiko wasn't nearly as drunk as he was pretending to be. He engineered the whole thing just to get her alone. This 2-episode OVA from Studio 1st leans hard into that specific tension — the ex who never quite let go, the spouse waiting at home, and a woman caught between loyalty and something unresolved from her past. The art is expressive and the pacing gives the character dynamics room to breathe before things escalate. It's the kind of story where the setup does a lot of the heavy lifting, and the discomfort is kind of the point. If you've seen Dousoukai and liked how it handled the reunion premise, this covers similar territory with a tighter runtime. Fans of Boku ga Suki da to Ienai Wake will also recognize that push-pull dynamic between guilt and temptation. It's based on a manga, so the character work has a decent foundation underneath the explicit content. If you go in knowing what it is — a mature, morally complicated drama that doesn't moralize — it delivers exactly what it's going for.
