Synopsis
Rio and Miyu Yakumo grow up sheltered under their grandfather's protection — the head of a Yakuza clan — in an unusual world that is nonetheless entirely their own. It's an unusual upbringing, but it's theirs, and it works. Then grandfather falls gravely ill, and suddenly the family name means nothing without the muscle to back it up. Rival factions smell blood and start circling, and the sisters find themselves caught in exactly the kind of Yakuza power struggle their grandfather spent years shielding them from. The only lifeline on the table comes with a price: another group offers support, but they want one of the girls in return. That's the setup, and it does not ease up from there. This 2-episode OVA from Studio 1st leans hard into the emotional weight of that impossible choice — familial duty versus personal cost, loyalty versus survival. The underground politics feel grounded enough that the dramatic stakes land. If you've watched something like Kimi no Na wo Yobeba and appreciated stories where characters are genuinely trapped by circumstance rather than just bad luck, this hits a similar nerve. Fans of Shoujo Sect who want more narrative texture alongside the adult content will find this has more plot scaffolding than most in the genre. It's adapted from a visual novel, and that shows — the character dynamics are built up before everything falls apart, which makes the fall matter.
