Tonari no Yokai-san

Woahhh okay so again did not expect the ending plot to be like this but it was certainly very heartfelt. Overall this anime has been a joy to watch and loved the vibes and slice-of-life feels. Animation was very nice to watch too. I would recommend this to people who are looking for a slice-of-life anime to watch as it has pretty intense parts too but they manage to keep it balance so it didn't feel too much for me

First of all, Ma-san is so cute and such a little guy I wanna protect him lol. But this episode is most likely the turning point of this series because I definitely did not expect it to turn out this way with all the Oni and intense scenes.

We get to see a bit of history in this episode which was kinda interesting. I lowkey thought that Takumi in this episode was uite relatable and there was a bit of a life lesson and take away from this episode with what Ryo tells Takumi.

Oooo nice to see a bit more of Chiyo and more of Mutsumi's dad and his lore in general. I like how we got to see more of Mutsumi's family and their feelings about their dad. It was also nice to see Jiro protecting Mutsumi here in a more intense kind of scene.

We get to see more of Rain and Ryo together which I personally liked as I find them really cute together lol. I think it's so endearing to see how much Rain is willing to do for Ryo. We also get to see Jiro open up a bit more to Mu-chan which was nice to see.

Lowkey got a bit pissed at Ryo because of what he did to Rain but we get to learn a bit more about Jiro in this episode because I feel Jiro is one of those characters who we see a lot but also we don't know much about him at the same time so I'm glad we got to see a bit of his lore more.

Ooooo loved the calming vibes at the start of the episode with Buchio and Chiaki just talking and stuff. We also get more of Namiko and Kazuhiko's lore and how they met which was nice but their story is quite sad lol. I also find Buchio loving his family so much super endearing.

It's nice that we get to see Yuri's family after it was being mentioned quite a few times and we also got to see Buchio and Yuri make up which was nice. Overall this episode was nice and I think the heartfelt vibes of the show is starting to show up a bit more but still calming overall though.

It was actually an intense episode with all those Oni around. I'm amazed by how Buchio is emotional all the time but also do his best out of every situation. I didn't expect that something big would happen suddenly. I'm also curious to what really caused that event.

I absolutely loved how the finale handles the emotional fallout. The stakes feel incredibly high because the reality inversion puts everyone in pure survival mode. Meanwhile, watching Takumi and Mutsumi fight for their friends anchors the entire story beautifully

Episode 12 delivers an incredibly moving emotional payoff. Buchio displays profound personal growth while Mu chan faces a heavy heart. The beautifully crafted moments of community connection left me teary eyed because the bonds between human and yokai feel so genuine

Not quite dramatic like the previous episodes but it still delivered emotions. Buchio acts like a human so well and yet also a Yokai in his own way. The ending was unexpected for me and I'm excited to see what will happen on the next episode.

That was a beautiful and wonderful ending for this series. I almost cried on the first half but it was all worth it. The show itself gave me better ideas on the importance of family and relationships. All the characters contributed well to the series.

Episode 11 delivers an emotional punch as Takumi explores the Space Time Laboratory with Buchio by his side. However things get intensely gripping after Buchio leaves for Tokyo. The sudden and ominous catastrophe at the end completely changes the tone

Episode 10 completely broke me emotionally. Watching Jiro and Tazenbo protect Mutsumi from that terrifying shadow monster felt so intense, yet the revelation about her father made it deeply bittersweet. This anime balances eerie supernatural tension with pure heartbreak so beautifully

Episode 9 balances lore and heart beautifully as we dive deeper into the past. Buchio shows great growth while grappling with his identity because the emotional weight hits hard. Meanwhile Jirou offers steady reassurance, making their bond feel incredibly raw

Episode 8 hits deep because it handles heavy themes of mortality so beautifully. Sanmoto takes a grieving Buchio on an unexpected trip to London to help him process loneliness. Meanwhile, Jiro finally confronts painful, buried memories of Mu chans great grandmother Haru

Another emotional episode for us to analyze. It's quite unique on how they portray connections and reconnections in this episode. I feel sad for Mutsumi but yet again I feel like some things are complicated. It was an episode with lots of emotions.

Mutsumi was a key character in this episode. She helped Jiro so much and Jiro grew this episode. I feel like they like to be mysterious about some stories but also gives us enough to understand the plot. The creativeness of the river scene was wonderful.

We get a bit more Yuri lore in this episode which I was looking forward too, I think we might see more of her character development from here on. I think the supernatural, parallel worlds thing was interesting, however I found it a bit confusing to keep up with lol.
