๐ SYNOPSIS
In a gleaming metropolis of tomorrow, androids called Jobroids work alongside humans as cops, firefighters, paramedics, even construction workers and trash collectors. These aren't your typical robots โ each one is designed around a real-world profession, and when things get serious, they combine with armored vehicles called Armor Tomica to form powerful mecha units known as Bravers. The main character is Wapper, a police Jobroid who starts noticing that other Jobroids around the city are going rogue and malfunctioning. What starts as routine incident response turns into an actual investigation about why these otherwise helpful androids are suddenly causing chaos.
The vibe here is very much Saturday morning mecha for kids, but done with a surprisingly clean 3D CGI style and a genuine focus on teamwork and problem-solving across different professions. It's not just punching bad guys โ the show treats each job with a kind of respect that makes the combination gimmick feel earned rather than just toy-commercial filler. At 25 episodes, it doesn't overstay its welcome.
If you grew up on Transformers: Rescue Bots or have fond memories of Brave Police J-Decker, this is squarely in that lineage โ robots with jobs, mysteries to solve, and combining mecha sequences. There's a bit of Patlabor DNA in the premise too, with the whole "police unit investigating robot-related incidents" angle, just aimed at a younger audience. Solid pick if you're looking for something to watch with kids or just want uncomplicated mecha fun.
