This episode focused more on character development, especially Ranmaru’s mental struggles. The tone stayed pretty gloomy, but the mysterious girl added an interesting dynamic. The pacing slowed down a bit compared to the first episode, but it picked up again near the end. Still, a solid episode if you like darker supernatural stories.
