I've been waiting all previous episodes for Jō to finally show up as an actual antagonist, he spent too much time playing nice to Akira when he's keen on getting insie Eiji's lab. Back in the past, I think Hertz severely underreacted towards the modern devices he was shown from the future, so that was kind of underwhelming.
