The story centers on the relationship between Su Yi, a princess from the heavenly realm, and Sun Wukong, who is initially a mortal. Their friendship blossoms into love, but Wukong is wrongly labeled a demon and subsequently imprisoned. For three centuries, the god Rulai guides Wukong, teaching him about justice. Later, Wukong is tasked with protecting the Longevity Monk and embarking on a perilous journey to the other side of the world to obtain the fire of creation, hoping to benefit the world.
