The King saying he sacrificed his own son just to keep the race war going is the most unhinged thing this show has done. That man is not a villain, he's just bored. Watching him get humbled by a villager was the whole point of the season

That finger flick shattering the barrier got a genuine laugh out of me. A worthless skill becoming the thing that breaks the system is exactly the payoff this show needed

Parna catching them out of the sky after the fall was such a small beat but it made me weirdly happy. Whole team just existing together in the epilogue and then he walks through a door and leaves them and that got me more than the actual final fight did

Kagami telling the King he won't kill him because the King is just another victim of the system is such a clean thesis for the whole show and it lands way harder than any sword swing could

I couldn't stop thinking about the toilet paper scene bro. Finale of a whole season about changing the world and this man is fighting for his life over bathroom supplies

Animation during the barrier shatter was doing some serious heavy lifting with barely moving frames and you can tell the budget went to that Alice glow up instead

The resets in five years thing came out of nowhere and now im sitting here wondering if this whole world is just somebody's save file. That King knows too much about the mechanics to be a regular guy

Rex hanging up the sword to pour drinks is the kind of quiet ending I did not see coming from a guy who spent the season swinging at everything

Im of the opinion the King flipped way too fast. Dude was ready to murder Alice and then ten minutes later he's signing a treaty like nothing happened. That negotiation felt like a switch got flipped

You watch the whole fight waiting for some huge finisher and it's just Meno blasting him in the face so he can bounce it back. Ridiculous and I loved every second

That finger flick moment is the funniest possible payoff for a guy whose whole deal is having the worst skill in the game and I respect the commitment to the bit

Alice way too beautiful at the end of the episode

Miritaria executed his own son to frame demons and fuel Paruna's racism for decades and never once felt a thing about it. The way he was just unrepentant bragging while she shattered in front of him made my stomach turn. Kagami had every right to shatter his face with that limiter punch

The King saying Rex is only mildly controlled and then casually dropping that Kururu is getting deep brainwashed in the tower was so blunt it looped back around to funny. Still feel bad for Kururu though. That open-air throne room design was actually a nice change of pace too

So let me get this straight. The King resets the world every time the Demon Lord dies. Miritaria executed his own son to manufacture Paruna's decades of demon hatred. Rex is getting puppeted like a doll. Kururu is getting her brain scrambled in a tower. This episode just kept stacking tragedies and somehow still ended on Kagami one-punching the minister into the ground with a smile. I genuinely love how this show balances absurdity with gutting emotional moments. Alice calling Kagami out loud for everyone to hear while burning was the peak of the whole thing for me. Also the King's casual voice when he said he'd brainwash Kagami and Tina later like they were furniture was so eerily calm it creeped me out way more than any screaming villain

Watching the King just calmly kick Kagami across the throne room gave me chills. That executioner sword held over Alice while Kagami chose to shield her with his own spine was brutal. And the reveal that David's son was the one who believed in coexistence is going to hit David so hard next episode when he finds out

People calling Kagami's power-up a cheat need to remember this dude is LEVEL NINE NINE NINE. His limiter being locked was the only thing stopping him. Miritaria's debuff shattering like glass when Kagami finally broke through was the best visual in the entire season so far

The throw-your-allies-to-safety gag was such a welcome break before hell started. Alice refusing to let go of Kagami while Paruna blasted her with fire had me screaming at my screen. Then she healed him with her last strength and collapsed. That girl is too pure for this world and I hope she gets protected forever

The King treating everyone like literal NPCs in a game is the cruellest thing about him honestly. And Rex just standing there emotionless while ordered to slice Kagami open was haunting. Kururu getting deep brainwashed in that tower because her spirit fought back too hard really got to me
