📖 SYNOPSIS

"The Town" is set in a peculiar community where meticulously groomed faces dictate social standing. After their mother's death, siblings Ruoqing and Laiyong navigate this environment. Ruoqing works diligently at a beauty salon, aspiring to earn the necessary qualifications to perform beauty treatments and gain acceptance. Her younger brother, Laiyong, however, harbors a strong aversion to the town's obsession with appearance, actively resisting the emphasis on grooming. This fundamental difference in perspective creates tension between the siblings, exacerbating their struggles to cope with their loss and the pressures of their surroundings.
