Synopsis
After moving into a share house expecting a normal college living situation, Ryota Ochi instead gets stuck doing all the chores for his two housemates, Momoka Hanaoka and Kanade Ayase. He's basically their live-in maid, which goes about as well as you'd expect. He's ready to bail when the girls pitch him a deal he wasn't prepared for: every minute he spends doing housework earns him one minute of intimate time with them. That's the premise, and the show leans into it fully. This is an 8-episode ONA from Studio LEO, with each episode running around six minutes, so the whole thing is basically a single evening's watch. The short format actually works here: it keeps things moving without dragging out the setup or the comedy beats longer than they need to go. The love polygon dynamic between the three characters is where most of the tension lives, with Momoka and Kanade having pretty different personalities and approaches to the whole arrangement. The vibe is playful and a bit absurd, treating its own premise with just enough humor that it doesn't take itself too seriously. If you've watched stuff like Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni or Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita and enjoyed the mix of comedy with adult themes in a compact format, this hits a similar note. I did not expect this to be so short but the pacing works well and Momoka yelling at him while blushing made me laugh
You can tell this is going to be problematic, but Kanade being a playful gyaru makes the whole chore deal actually seem worth it
It is wild how fast the tension builds once Kanade starts teasing Ryota about the cleaning schedule
Momoka has that crazy tsundere energy and I am already choosing her over Kanade after that first argument in the kitchen
The one minute rule is so degenerate but the trade for doing chores is actually a pretty clever way to get him to stay
watching ryota about to pack his bags and then immediately dropping everything for a minute of fun was so relatable
how the episode sets up the drama and then pivots into the secret rule was such a smooth transition
ayumi has such a teasing personality and it made those early scenes of her making him clean the floor way more interesting
i felt bad for ryota at first because he was literally just a slave, but that contract they signed at the end changed my mind real quick
mio looks way too good in her casual clothes and the way she bossed him around before the reveal was hilarious
suiseisha usually goes for really specific tropes and this one feels like it fits right in with their usual style but the character designs for the roommates are actually pretty top tier this time around, the concept of the time limit for rewards adds a bit of tension that you dont usually see in these kinds of stories
mio and ayumi are such a handful and they definitely knew what they were doing with that proposal
the show balances the comedy of him being a maid with the actual spicy parts and i really like how they handled the transition
ryota getting so stressed over laundry only to get rewarded was the funniest thing to me and the math in this episode actually makes sense
the exchange rate for the housework seems like a scam but ryota definitely won by staying in that house
Wait so he has to scrub the floor for an hour to get sixty minutes of fun and that sounds like a fair trade for him
I can't believe they actually went with a minute for a minute exchange, because it makes the chores feel like a literal currency and Ryota was so ready to bail on those lazy girls until Momoka and Kanade made that offer, so now he is basically a servant to the housework and it definitely got my attention
The animation is surprisingly decent for a six minute episode and the premise is just the right amount of ridiculous
