The Shape of Love
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Mayu and Tomomi step into the world of amateur adult photography together, drawn in by Kunio Kase's camera. That's the setup for this 2-episode OVA from T-Rex, adapted from a visual novel, which means there's actually more character framing here than you'd typically expect from the genre. The visual novel origins give it a bit of structure — you get some sense of who these people are and what's driving them before things escalate, rather than the usual zero-context approach. T-Rex's animation is clean and detailed, with expressive character work that makes the whole thing feel more considered than throwaway. If you've watched Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo or Kimi no Na wo Yobeba and appreciated when hentai at least tries to build some atmosphere around its characters, this sits in that same space. It's not trying to be deep, but the visual novel DNA means the character dynamics have a little more texture to them. If Stringendo: Angel-tachi no Private Lesson was your kind of pacing, this has a similar grounded, contemporary feel. Two episodes means it's a quick watch, and the story doesn't overstay its welcome. It won't change your life, but for what it is, it's a solid, well-produced entry with more personality than most.
