Loneal wakes up reincarnated into his favorite fantasy novel and immediately decides the smartest move is to stay as invisible as possible. He knows the story, he knows his character is a throwaway side character with a grim ending, and he really does not want to mess up the romance between the dashing Prince Alec and the heroine Lily. More like genuine, pointed, increasingly hard-to-ignore interest. The setup is genuinely fun because Loneal is working against the plot while the plot keeps dragging him back in. He's panicking about narrative consequences while Alec is just... charmed by him. The eight-episode ONA from Studio Hokiboshi, based on the manga, leans into that tension between what the story 'should' be and what's actually happening. The fantasy kingdom backdrop gives it a romance novel atmosphere that fits the premise well. Fair warning upfront: this is Boys Love with an erotica rating, so it earns that tag as the relationship develops. If you came from something like Love Stage!! or Junjou Romantica and wanted a fantasy isekai spin on that dynamic, this scratches that itch. Fans of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi's slow-burn reluctant romantic energy will also find something familiar here. It is not reinventing the genre, but the meta-aware reincarnation angle keeps it from feeling like a standard setup.
