Good introduction for the anime. It's the same kind of story where someone doesn't know they're much stronger than they think. The difference is that this guy is in his 30-ish instead of being a teenager who wants to become an adventurer. It's a cliché story, but the way he acts ruins it a little bit. He's been a guild receptionist for so many years and still doesn't know how strong he is, which is kinda weird to be honest. So, don't expect this one to follow logic too much, and just watch as the story progresses.
