Hanzo is a welcome addition to the dynamic. Any time a new character walks into an already established friend group, there's a risk they feel forced or out of place but Hanzo doesn't. He slots in naturally and more importantly, he challenges the group in ways that actually matter to the story. His presence puts pressure on Tsubasa specifically in a way the show hasn't done before, and watching Tsubasa navigate that while still keeping his secret is genuinely tense.
