Don't get me wrong, the beach setting looks gorgeous. The animation team clearly enjoyed themselves here the water effects, the sunlight on the sand, the little visual details in the background all pop beautifully. Visually it's probably the most polished episode yet. But the story takes a backseat to the fanservice-lite beach episode format that you've seen a hundred times in school anime. The group goes to the beach, hijinks happen, everyone looks good in their swimwear, there's an awkward moment or two between Sekine and Tsubasa. It's enjoyable enough in the moment but it doesn't push the story forward the way episodes 3 and 4 did.
