Idaten Deities Know Only Peace is a chaotic but really entertaining anime. I liked how quickly it introduced the world and characters, and the animation, especially during the fights, was great. The comedy and visual gags also worked really well for me, and I enjoyed how the series slowly built up the mystery around the Idaten, the demons, and especially Miku. What I liked most is how the anime keeps questioning humanity and power, while making the demons feel surprisingly human at times. The only downside is the cliffhanger ending, which makes it frustrating that the anime never got a continuation. Just go read the manga and finish this masterpiece. It's completely worth it.

This was a very chaotic episode, with everything falling apart as it built toward this moment and Miku revealed as the mastermind behind it all. The problem is that there’s no more after this; the episode ends on a huge cliffhanger for every plot point it has been building up until now, and since the anime came out in 2021, you’ll need to continue with the manga (just do it)

We see even more reasons why Miku is an actual menace, not only because of how nasty she is, but also because of how smart she is, rivaling Ysley. Everything starts building up toward a huge climax.

This anime gets better and better, constantly questioning the convictions of other characters and humanity itself, while also revealing the further cruelty of the demons. The demons are really strange, with some showing almost no redeeming qualities, while others seem more human than the Idaten themselves.

Such a strong way to start the episode, going straight into the fight. The animation gets even better, and even though the demons are really weird, you really have to empathize with some of them given how imbalanced the fight is. The episode also delivers some big reveals throughout its runtime, making it easily the best episode of the season.

I like how the Idaten finally use their status as gods to deal with humanity’s issues, and this episode shows even more why Miku is going to be a bigger threat than she first appears.

This episode has a lot more exposition, but it works well because it moves quickly and does a great job of building up the mysteries surrounding the Idaten and the Professor.

I think this episode shows how good the soundtrack is and what we should expect from characters like Ysley, who fight with brains instead of brute strength. The episode also ends by building up the mystery surrounding the professor.

After some foreshadowing, they finally reveal who Prontea is, and through the fights, you almost end up empathizing with the demons, since they seem even more human than the Idaten themselves.

Here is where the real action starts. The animation for the fight was great, and the demon designs are unique in their own ways. We’re even shown the power imbalance between the demons and Rin.

Verbal exposition is short and efficient, and the comedy is excellent, especially with the visual gags, which are beautifully animated. The anime also does a great job of using color theory, since the color composition changes constantly. It even includes a title drop and the reveal of more demons, making it a great watch.

What a great way to start an anime, with a strong introduction to both the world and the characters, and a clear characterization of each member of the Idaten without relying on verbal exposition. It's also quite crude, so... beware of the final scene, it deals with SA.
