Episode 8 is a disaster. The animation is the worst it's been, the writing is incoherent, and the pacing is chaotic. The flashback to Ard's past had potential, but the episode rushes through it to get to a fight that lasts thirty seconds and a villain reveal that means nothing. The masked man is defeated so easily that any tension evaporates immediately . If Episode 5 was where the show lost its way, Episode 8 is where it hits rock bottom. There's nothing here that works—not the comedy, not the drama, not the action. It's an episode that exists because the show needed to fill a slot, not because it had a story to tell.
