Episode 6 is a step up from Episode 5, but that's a low bar. Sylphy is a welcome addition—she's the most interesting character the show has introduced since Olivia—and the return to lighter academy content is a relief after the messy Elzard arc. The flashback to Ard's past is a nice reminder of what the show is supposed to be about.
But the episode still suffers from the same issues: Ard is a blank slate, the world-building is inconsistent, and the plot is a series of events without much cohesion. It's not offensively bad like Episode 5 was. It's just... there. Watchable, forgettable, and unlikely to change anyone's mind about the show.
