Episode 4 is where the anime completely loses its way. The pacing is chaotic, the character writing is inconsistent to the point of being nonsensical, and the episode rushes through major plot beats without earning any of them. Ginny's sudden transformation is the most egregious example of the show's refusal to develop its characters naturally . The tournament arc is skipped, the duel never happens, and the dramatic death of a supporting character is treated like an afterthought.
If you were on the fence about this show, this is the episode that should push you off. There's nothing here that makes a compelling case for continuing.
