Akechi completely took the spotlight in this case, which feels like a proper payoff after his limited involvement in the previous one. The culprit reveal also came with an unexpected twist and my deduction was only partially correct. The only reason I managed to get a correct deduction was because of a random piece of trivia that a friend had told me before 😅. Without that knowledge, I probably wouldn't have noticed the clue at all. The culprit's motive was also quite different from the previous cases this season, which helped make this mystery feel distinct. This was a relatively short case, and based on the preview, the next one appears to follow a similar format with only one episode dedicated to it, much like ep 5.
