The Dreaming Boy is a Realist Arc Review

First of all, the story is pretty bad. It would've been a hundred times better if they had just focused on the main plot instead of constantly going on "side quests." I mean, the progression was painfully slow until the final two episodes. That was simply crazy pacing, in my opinion.

That said, the story itself isn't completely worthless. It has some decent moments, and to be honest, while I find Aika annoying, she isn't a bad person at all. She isn't unlikeable or disgusting—she's actually very kind-hearted. It's just that the way her character is written is incredibly disappointing. Sajou is the same! He's actually a very likable guy, but the way his character is written is so frustrating that it really pisses me off.

Craftsmanship-wise, the art style is decent, and the characters are cute, but it isn't exactly top-notch. The visuals are decent, and the BGM was pretty fun to listen to. Overall, it's just okay. There's nothing particularly special about it.

Overall, I'd rate this series a 6/10. The romance is dragged out way too much, the story is pretty mediocre, and the characters are fine if you can overlook their "stupidity."
