The Demon Girl Next Door

Big fan of how easily the 2 parts of the episode can be separated. If you told me that each one is their own episode, I'd believe you. Awesome pacing and Shamiko keeps being goofy.

Great build up episode for the upcoming final episode of this season. I love the consistent and detailed storyline that was told and the mixture of serious moments and jokes to to maintain the anime's comedic identity while providing lore and serious emotions that prepares the final conclusion.

One of the best episode in terms of humor. The cat never fails to get me and the timing of it's line is always perfect and unexpected. The addition of the sci-fi, mad scientist aspect to involve a character more was a great move and made things more interesting. I love the consistency of the story especially with Shamiko's sister that they made as a new dynamic to look forward to.

A great breather episode that connects Shamiko to the viewers and make her more relatablle. I love the relaxing theme of the episode of just watching Shamiko live her days as a regular highschool student with activities like studying and watching movies with her friends. I love the frequency of Mikan's screen time as she is a relatively new character.

They reall did a great job on capitalising on the introduction of the new character. They delivered very fresh humor and new situations with the new character that really livens up the story and the humor. Mikan's cute personality that leans toward normalcy is a breath of fresh air with our chaotic group of cast. And they did not forget to continue on giving more info about Momo.

I love how rididculous the show of growth in power in Shamiko which is the about their 400 yen curse which really sticks to the anime's identity. The slow digging of Momo's past remains consistent and the humor and delivery of the characters comebacks are great. The appearance of the new character used as a cliffhanger was a great move.

They blended the story with humor very well this episode. I like the current pace of the story with multiple hints and lore about our characters which in this case is Momo. But I think the humor around the cast is starting to get repetitive which signals for a new character I hope. But not gonna lie, that cat me laughing

I love the slow increase in touching scenes because it really makes me like the character and immerse in the anime. The imagery and exaggeration when Yuuko was taking the the laptop home because the exaggeration was well executed and very relatable which made it even funnier. The punchline in the end was the cherry on top.

The humor is starting to grow on me and they also gets better and better every episode. We finally see the ancestor in action and it was very funny and made me look forward to her next possession. Shamiko's cuteness and silliness was really felt with the pressence of a very normal character which made her much more interesting. Excited to see more of Momo and Yuuko's relationship progress.

Another episode full of Yuuko's cuteness. I love the slow yet existing progress of Yuuko's power that also correlates to her dynamic with Momo. The dream scene was full of not so funny jokes but somehow it just makes you smile which was a great feeling. Yuuko's small comments and remarks really hit the spot this episode I specifically laughed at the final scene when she was hit by the small orb.

I liked that the episode fully focused on what was talked about during the previous one. Some parts having mellow soundtrack (or straight up not having) really showed what the staff wanted to convey. They of course managed to sneak some humor too. The anime ends on a high note and with a great misunderstanding that describe well how Shamiko and Momo think.

Goofy setup during the first half to drop a lore nuke during the second half. The episode manages to flawlessly balance both comedy and serious moments without sacrificing the quality of either. Really good setup before the end of the season.

"Chaos" can perfectly describe this episode. We finally addressed the Ogura shaped elephant in the room which is nice, since she had been just there, observing. It's nice to see more Ryo content since she's truly an unique character, so it's a nice episode if you like her too.

I forgot that exams exist. So the episode takes a break (does it count as one?) to dedicate half of the episode to them (although it was just one subject). We got to know that Momo never thought less of Shamiko which is great. Mikan and Shamiko finally get some (more) alone time to develop some friendship or dynamic between the two. Nice episode, although it might feel like a drag sometimes.

Was that a Kamen Rider Decade reference at the beginning? The orange one is finally here, and it brings some unique stuff into the anime. A more dialogue heavy episode that still manages to sneak some comedy in. There is surprisingly some interesting magical girl lore.

It's nice to see the opening designs actually being used for something outside the opening lol. Since the plot is progressing, we finally see the results of Shamiko's efforts. I always love the dynamic between Shamiko and Momo, and this episode makes it even better. With Momo going muscle freak mode being my favorite one.

The time hath come. As we would say in Spanish, "mucho texto", a lot of dialogue during this episode. Which is lowkey good because we are already halfway through the anime and even Shamiko mentions that a lot of things around her are changing. It's nice to know more about Momo and see her getting closer to Shamiko.

Finally time to see something Ryo related, with a sudden Momo lore bomb that was never addressed again during the episode. I love how the played into Shamiko being tech illiterate as the punchline for a joke.

It's nice to see the plot moving forwards (a bit), Shamiko's ancestor finally shows up again and her presence is appreciated since she had only interacted with Shamiko so far.

This episode really sets up the character interactions and dynamics to expect throughout the season. I love how they perfectly mixed Yuuko's unique situation with her just being a student at the same time. Scened like Yuuko and Momo's just casually exchanging numbers makes everything feel like a slice of life with a chuuni which I really liked.
