📖 SYNOPSIS

"Tono to Inu" transports viewers to the tumultuous Warring States period of Japan. The story centers on Tono, a man once renowned for his fearsome prowess on the battlefield. Now, however, he is impoverished and resides in a humble tenement house. Despite his meager circumstances, Tono takes in a dog. This canine companion, however, is anything but obedient. The dog, free-spirited and unrestrained, ignores Tono's attempts at control, leading to a dynamic of the former warrior being constantly pushed around. The anime explores the unlikely bond between a fallen hero and a spirited dog, highlighting themes of survival, adaptation, and the comedic contrast between past glory and present hardship.
