📖 SYNOPSIS
"The Big First-Grader and the Small Second-Grader" follows the relationship between Masaya, a first-grader who is surprisingly a crybaby despite his size, and Akiyo, a second-grader who is small but possesses a strong spirit. Masaya is unable to walk the dark path to school alone and relies on Akiyo to hold his hand. He admires Akiyo and aspires to be as strong as her. Their bond is tested when something happens that brings Akiyo to tears. Determined to help, Masaya sets out on a trek to the distant Ipponsugi forest, seeking the spotted bellflowers that Akiyo loves, hoping to bring a smile back to her face. The story explores themes of friendship, courage, and the lengths one will go to for a loved one.
