Seiryo and his ship the Unko prove too much for the Kamidake and the episode is elevated enormously by the running joke of the ship's name. Seiryo is a genuinely entertaining antagonist — pompous, obsessed with Seina, completely convinced of his own magnificence despite consistently being wrong about everything. the battle is handled well and the damage to the Kamidake creates real urgency. cutting between a life-threatening space battle and Amane's modeling shoot without blinking is classic GXP tonal chaos done perfectly.
