Teacher's Pet
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Working as a substitute art teacher at an all-girls high school, Haruhiko carries a messy personal history — he used to date a woman named Mariko, and now her younger sister Chitose is sitting in his classroom with feelings she can't quite shake. That's already a tangled situation before you add a female colleague who catches his eye and rumors starting to spread around campus. Natural: Another is a 2-episode OVA from 2000, based on a visual novel, and it leans into that source material's strength: character relationships that feel genuinely complicated rather than simple. The drama here comes from history between people — old connections resurfacing, loyalty getting murky, and everyone wanting something they probably shouldn't. The animation holds up reasonably well for its era, and the tone stays grounded in emotional tension rather than cheap shock value. It's not trying to be an epic — two episodes means it gets in, tells its story, and gets out. If you've watched something like Immoral Sisters and appreciated when these kinds of stories take the relationship drama seriously, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Bible Black who want something with a quieter, more grounded emotional register might also find it worth the short runtime. It's a snapshot of a specific type of early 2000s adult anime that actually cared about the human messiness underneath the surface premise.
