This is probably the peak that the tension had been building. It's in a sense that more truths were laid down in the open, but also because there was another sub tension that was built in the latter part, which preludes to the final arc— the choices and consequences Neko would have to make and face onwards. That aside, for a "Moriarty" portrayal, Masaki sure sucked.
