Tales of Seduction
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When a socially awkward guy summons a seductive android from the future to help him win over his dream girl — and she comes with a weird snake creature called SM Snake — that's just the first story in this 1991 OVA anthology from manga artist U-Jin, whose distinctive art style and dry sense of humor run through the whole thing. The other tales follow powerful men in a city where status and desire blur together: a famous songwriter using his fame to pull women in, an executive who moonlights as an infamous seducer. The writing doesn't take any of this too seriously, which is kind of the point. There's a satirical edge underneath the eroticism — these aren't glamorous portraits of powerful men so much as slightly absurd ones. The comedy and the adult content sit together in a way that feels intentional rather than accidental. If you've watched something like Visionary or New Angel and want something with a bit more personality behind it, U-Jin Brand has a specific flavor that's harder to find. The source material comes from U-Jin's manga work, and that lineage shows — the character designs and pacing feel more grounded in print storytelling than a lot of titles from this era. At one episode, it doesn't overstay its welcome. It's a relic of early 90s adult animation with a recognizable voice behind it, which makes it worth a look if that era of anime interests you at all.
