Taimanin Shiranui: Inyoku no Dorei Shoufu

A veteran anti-demon ninja — a Taimanin — Shiranui went on a mission five years ago and never came back. Her daughter Yukikaze has been living with that absence ever since, and when a lead finally surfaces about what happened to her mother, she and her partners go after it. That's the setup, and it carries genuine emotional weight: a daughter searching for a mother who vanished doing the same dangerous work the daughter now does herself. The world these characters inhabit is a grimy near-future where demons and criminal organizations operate openly, and the Taimanin exist as a kind of last line of resistance. It's a dark setting that takes its lore seriously, pulling from the same universe as Taimanin Asagi and Taimanin Yukikaze, so if either of those were your entry point into this franchise, this one slots right in. The character designs are detailed and the production holds up well for the format. Fair warning — this is a hentai OVA, so the content is explicit by design, and the tone leans into the darker end of what the genre offers. Don't go in expecting it to pull punches.
