Taimanin Asagi 3
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In a near-future Tokyo, the strongest anti-demon ninja Asagi Igawa is trying to hold her life together after everything she's been through. She's taken in Kousuke, the younger brother of her late fiancé, and he's desperate to prove himself worthy of standing beside her as a Taimanin. That desperation is exactly the kind of vulnerability that gets people into trouble — and sure enough, Kousuke ends up tangled in a conspiracy orchestrated by an immortal villain named Edwin Black, who has very specific plans to destroy the Taimanin organization from the inside out. The setup is genuinely darker than you'd expect, leaning into psychological damage and the weight of what these characters have survived rather than glossing over it. This is a 2-episode OVA adapted from the visual novel series, so it moves fast and doesn't waste time on setup if you're already familiar with the world. If you've watched Taimanin Yukikaze or Hell Knight Ingrid, you already know the tone — bleak, supernatural, adult-oriented action with a thread of actual plot holding things together. Witch of Steel Annerose fans will also recognize the same near-future urban atmosphere. The animation from Studio Eromatick handles the intense sequences with solid production quality, and the soundtrack keeps the tension grounded. It's not trying to be subtle about what it is, but the character dynamics and the villain's scheme give it more narrative backbone than you might expect going in.
