Synopsis

Raising a two-year-old son named Hikari while his husband Hiromu works, Masaki Fujiyoshi lives a pretty normal life, except the world they live in runs on omegaverse dynamics. Masaki is an omega, meaning he carried and gave birth to Hikari, and that fact alone makes their family a target for judgment and discrimination. The couple moves to a new neighborhood hoping things will be different this time. This 12-episode TV series from Studio Deen is quietly one of the most grounded BL anime out there. Instead of the usual will-they-won't-they tension, you're dropped into an established relationship where the couple is already married with a kid, and the real conflict comes from the outside world not accepting them. It's domestic in the best way: grocery runs, playground visits, Hikari being adorable, but underneath all that warmth is this persistent ache of two people trying to protect their family from a society that sees them as lesser. If you liked the emotional sincerity of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi or the found-family warmth of Super Lovers but wanted something more focused on actual parenthood and daily life, this hits that spot. The childcare element isn't just decoration either; watching Masaki and Hiromu navigate being dads while dealing with their own insecurities gives the whole thing real emotional weight. It's gentle, it's honest, and it doesn't rush to resolve problems that realistically take time.

It was nice how it tackles more about the dynamics, support, and the acceptance that will not only come from the society but also from oneself. It’s been hard to live with such judgement and preference but this shows how they can overcome it. It was actually more on the realistic side if we don’t think about the ABO concept. Anw, it’s been nice and the emotional journey has been good. The pacing, build up, and animation was great. And I can say that this will be my go to comfort anime. Highly recommended!
