We could say that this chapter is a bit of filler or perhaps the beginning of another mission; however, as it ended, it gives no indications of the latter. Likewise, it was nostalgic because we could remember some aspects of Kirito and Asuna's relationship, but also the reality of their lives outside of ALO.
