Sweet and Hot
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Caught between two very different men at once — Otaku, a devoted anime fan, and Kasahara, whose connection to her runs deeper than it first appears — Saionji's situation gets a lot more complicated from there. What starts as ordinary daily interactions in contemporary Japan gradually shifts into something more intimate, and the show doesn't rush to get there. It takes its time building the dynamic between these three before things get personal. For a two-episode OVA from Blue bread, adapted from the manga, it moves with surprising focus. The animation leans into character expressions and close emotional moments rather than flashy action, which fits the tone — this is a character-driven story about attraction, connection, and the messy space between people who want different things from each other. If you've watched Sweet Shine or Sweet Hot Spring and liked the blend of warmth and sensuality with actual character work behind it, this sits comfortably in that same space. It's not trying to be anything more than what it is — a compact, emotionally grounded adult story that delivers a complete experience without overstaying its welcome. The runtime is short enough that it never drags, and the character dynamics have enough texture to keep it from feeling disposable. Worth a watch if that specific combination of intimacy and interpersonal tension is what you're after.
