Succubus Stayed Life The Animation

For Haruyuki, high school life is about as uneventful as it gets — until he finds out his classmate Touko is a succubus who needs to feed on human energy to survive. Her solution? Move in with him. That's pretty much the whole setup, and the 2-episode OVA by Studio Seven runs with it exactly where you'd expect. It's a short, lighthearted watch built around the cohabitation premise, blending school life with supernatural elements in a way that keeps things breezy rather than heavy. The character dynamic between Haruyuki and Touko has a decent amount of charm to it — he's flustered, she's forward, and the supernatural angle gives the relationship a little more texture than a straightforward scenario would. The animation holds up well for what it is, which matters a lot in this genre. If you've watched something like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and enjoyed the cohabitation setup, this hits a similar note. Fans of the lighter, more playful side of the genre — think less intense than something like Oni Chichi — will probably feel at home here. It's adapted from manga, so the story has a source to pull from, though two episodes naturally keep things fairly contained. Going in expecting a short, uncomplicated supernatural romance with explicit content is the right mindset. It doesn't overstay its welcome.
