Stepmother's Sin
Oshimeter
Synopsis
From childhood, Yusuke never let go of a single sight — his mother betraying his father, a wound that burned itself into his mind and never left him. Now in college, his dad is remarrying — bringing a new stepmother, Misako, and her daughter into the house. What follows is a dark psychological spiral as Yusuke's unresolved trauma curdles into something genuinely unsettling: manipulation, control, and the kind of damage that spreads outward to everyone around him. This 2-episode OVA doesn't shy away from how ugly that gets. The tone is heavy and uncomfortable in a way that's clearly intentional — this isn't mindless content, it's a character study wrapped in adult material, built around a guy whose wounds make him dangerous rather than sympathetic. The source visual novel is known for branching paths and multiple endings, so the OVA adaptation distills one version of a story that's actually more layered than the genre usually offers. If you've seen Bible Black or Discipline: The Record of a Crusade and wanted something with a stronger psychological backbone, this scratches that itch. It's closer in spirit to Night Shift Nurses in terms of tone — adult content used to carry a story with actual emotional weight rather than just existing for its own sake. Go in knowing it's dark and doesn't resolve neatly. That's kind of the point.
